Our Story
This site began with a simple frustration. Every time we looked up how a casino game or a bonus worked, the answer came wrapped in a sales pitch. Pages promised "expert strategies" and "guaranteed value", yet skipped the parts that actually matter: the house edge, the wagering conditions, the legal position, the risk.
From notes to explainers
What started as a private set of notes — what RTP means, why the tie bet in baccarat is poor value, how withdrawal rules are worded — slowly became articles. Readers began asking questions, and those questions shaped what we wrote next. Today the site is organised into study tracks, so someone new can start at the beginning and someone experienced can jump straight to the detail they need.
Three principles we keep
- Say the uncomfortable part first. If a game or offer has a catch, it goes near the top, not in a footnote.
- Never sell the dream. We don't describe gambling as a way to earn money, because over time it isn't one.
- Respect the law and the reader. Where gambling is restricted, we say so plainly, and we point to help when it is needed.
Where we're heading
We keep adding explainers as rules, technology and regulation change, and we revisit older pages when they need it. If there's a topic you'd like us to untangle, tell us.
