How We Review
We don't rate or rank casinos, and we don't publish "top 10" lists of operators. What we review is information: game rules, published terms, regulatory facts and the claims that circulate about gambling. This page explains how that checking works.
1. Go to the source
Before explaining a game, we read its official rules and paytable. Before describing a type of bonus, we read the full terms of several real examples. Before mentioning a law or regulation, we look for the regulator's or government's own publications rather than second-hand summaries.
2. Test the claim
Gambling content is full of confident statements — "this system works", "this game pays more at night", "this bonus is free money". We ask whether each claim is consistent with how the game actually works. If it isn't, we say so.
3. Write it plainly
We aim for explanations a newcomer can follow without a dictionary. Technical terms are defined the first time they appear, and our glossary collects them in one place.
4. Add the safeguards
Every explainer includes the relevant risks and, where it applies, a reminder about the legal position and responsible play.
5. Revisit
Rules, regulations and products change. We revisit older pages and update them when something important has shifted. If you notice something out of date, please let us know.
